Shimane Peninsula and Shinjikonakaumi Geopark
The Shimane Peninsula and Shinjikonakaumi Geopark is a place where you can familiarize yourself with the Earth (Geo) and enjoy contemplating everything, from mountains, rivers, seas, rocks beneath your feet to the universe, as well as the organisms that have inhabited there from billions of years in the past to the future.
The Oki Islands went through four stages and became the current remote islands approximately 10,000 years ago.
It is an island where you can learn about the unique ecosystems and culture of the Oki Islands.
